ASAP Underwater Hockey

Welcome to your Canadian UWH Gear Supplier! Run by Ellen and Andrew, we are aiming to supply all underwater athletes with high quality gear!

For those who have stumbled upon this page, Underwater hockey (UWH) is a fast-paced, team sport played at the bottom of a pool. Players use small sticks to push a puck into the opposing team’s goal, all while holding their breath and working in seamless underwater coordination. It’s a niche, demanding sport but the right equipment can make all the difference!

Ellen has been involved in UWH since 2015, representing Team Canada in 2017, 2020* and 2023 at the World Championships and GTA at various Nationals and local tournaments. Ellen is working on building up the sport in Canada, and ASAP helps simplify the process of supplying clubs and players with everything they need.

Andrew discovered the sport in 2007 and has been hooked ever since. He has been making his own gear since Day One and can now share that with the entire community. Andrew works hard in the pool and in the shop, putting his time into the behind the scenes work of R&D to create gear and improve what we have. Andrew misses the days of gear tables at every event and is excited to be offering ASAP back to the community. 

In 2025, we acquired Bentfish Armoury and all of the designs. We are now bringing these back but made in Canada! We are also using Bentfish techniques to develop new gear and taking ideas from the community.
